Ilsan Lake Park located in Goyang city, sometimes referred as the Korean version of Central Park in New York City, is the beautiful park with a magnificent lake. Known as the largest artificial lake park in Korea, the park is a laid back, peaceful relaxation area with around a hundred species of wild flowers, a thick forest (about 200 thousand trees), open green fields and a well-designed walk path.
Beautiful chrysanthemum flowers this autumn~!
People can get in tune with nature here, go inline skating or bicycling, read a book or take a nap on the grass, or just go for a relaxing or energizing walk. The Lake Park features a natural observation site, a cactus arboretum, botanical gardens, a toilet museum, an octagonal pavilion, an artificial waterfall, a rose garden that is pranked with blossoms in May and June, and a traditional Korean garden.
The works of art scattered in places will make you feel the Lake Park like a huge outdoor sculpture park. If you're looking for some nature while traveling around the city, don't forget to stop by here! ^^
How to get there?
From Jeongbalsan Station (Seoul Subway Line 3) and Exit 1 or 2. Walk for about 10-min.
